What is TEFL?

TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. TEFL courses will equip you with the skills and confidence that you need to teach English as a foreign Language.

Another Common acronym for teaching English is TESOL. It stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. TEFL is commonly used in the UK; TESOL is more commonly used in the U.S., Canada and Australia.

Who is Eligible?

The minimum age to take our course is 18- years old, whilst anybody is able to take our 120 hour online TEFL course please keep in mind in order to find work the following are often a minimum requirement:

  • A degree
  • Native or near-native English Speaker
  • Valid Passport
  • TEFL/TESOL certificate

Where Can You Apply?

TEFL is predominately taught in countries where English isn’t the native language. Opportunities commonly exist in schools and language institutes, but you will also find opportunities for private tutoring, corporate businesses, volunteering and online learning.

The students you will teach come in all ages, from children to adults and at all levels. Programs range from one- to-one classes, small, medium or large groups.
